22 nobel laureates have made a request to free Dr. Binayak Sen. It is fair for the doctor to be out of prison while authorities in Chhattisgarh are working hard day and night to gather the necessary proof. Which they have been doing for a year now, and I am sure they will continue working hard to do that.
People working in noble professions typically do not take sides as they have nothing to gain. Hence we have Doctors without Borders and other liberal organizations that want to help a Myanmar populace even though they probably do not agree with the Myanmar official oppression.
Keeping people such as Dr. Sen in jail only serves to further the very causes that he is allegedly being held for. Either way, the people of Chhattisgarh will be better off with his release. He is not the one roaming around with guns here.
